Full-time Restaurant Associate Benefits

We offer our full-time Associates and their eligible dependents a package of medical, dental, and vision benefits. For California Associates, medical options include the choice of Kaiser HMO or Anthem Blue Cross HMO or PPO plans. Associates in other states have the option of Anthem Blue Cross EPO or PPO plans. Associates and eligible dependents enrolled in a medical plan are also provided a prepaid dental benefit through Delta Dental and vision coverage through VSP. This package also includes company-provided life insurance, AD&D, and business and travel insurance. Associates have the option of purchasing additional life insurance and upgrading their dental insurance plan. 

In-N-Out Burger has established a retirement plan with a Defined Contribution Profit Sharing Plan and 401(k) Plan for the benefit of our full-time and part-time Associates who meet the eligibility requirements for participation in the plan. Eligible Associates receive company contributions made into the plan based on a percentage of their annual earnings. After one year of continuous service and meeting other eligibility criteria, In-N-Out Burger’s 401K plan allows Associates to defer pre-tax earnings into our qualified plan. Vesting occurs after 3 years of service with the company.

Vacation & Sick Benefits

Years of Service Vacation Accrual for Full Time Associates
1-5 2 weeks
6-15 3 weeks
16+ 4 weeks

Vacation is earned on an accrual basis and can be taken after 90 calendar days of employment. Part-time Associates accrue vacation at a rate of 1 week per year based on the number of hours worked. Full-time Associates also accrue sick time at the rate of 6 days per year.
